Kidnapped lawmaker, Okechukwu Okoye, lawmaker representing Aguata II constituency in Anambra State, has been found dead.
Okoye’s freshly severed head was seen mounted at the Chisco Park in Amichi community, Anambra State on Saturday.
Okoye, who hails from Isuofia, the same community as Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra, was kidnapped in Aguata on May 15 alongside Cyril Chiegboka, his campaign director.
While confirming the development, Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga said the lawmaker’s body was not found at the spot where his head was discovered.
