As APGA primary elections draw near, Oyi/Ayamelum critical stakeholders, religious and party faithful have embarked on prayers for God to help delegates from Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency make the right choice.

The 2-day special prayer and fasting will commence on May 26 and would end on May 27, 2022 – According to them, Oyi/Ayamelum needs a very courageous candidate to liberate them from the hands of greedy and ego centric politicians who have nothing to offer the Constituency.

The critical stakeholders will embark on a 2-day prayer and fasting to seek God’s intervention in the Oyi/Ayamelum’s political sphere ahead of the APGA primary election scheduled to take place this weekend. Reverend Paul Nweke Chairman, Oyi/Ayamelum For Christ Movement(OACM) told newsmen in Awka that the prayer and fasting was for God to help members of the ruling party APGA make the right choice during primary elections.

“Ndi Oyi/Ayamelum needs quality representation; someone who is bold enough to attract massive developmental projects, empower the constituents and turn things around for good, not someone who will abandon them after  elections. We need someone new and fresh, sound and bold, somehow courageous who has not been corrupt by the present evil cabal holding the constituency to ransom”. Rev Nweke said.

“That is why we as a Christian forum with like-minds have entered into prayer and fasting that best candidate will emerge out of the aspirants, who will save this constituency from doom. This Oyi/Ayamelum deserves the best, better than just having politicians who are just looking after their stomach and families. Oyi/Ayamelum needs a candidate who respects Christianity, not someone who is sponsoring touts, internet shenanigans to attack men of God, using social media to commit blasphemy, and promoting idolatry” he added.

Meanwhile, the indefatigable media team of Ogene Ndigbo Movement has keyed into the fasting and prayers declaration while urging every discerning members of APGA in Oyi/Ayamelum to join in the 2-day liberation prayers for God to grant Lady Maureen Gwacham victory at the party primary election.

The founder of Ogene Ndigbo Movement Dr. Harris Chuma-Odili, FCMsp speaking on behalf of the organization said the prayers and fasting declaration was a welcome idea and quite timely.

“I want to thank members of Oyi/Ayamelum for Christ Movement for this wonderful initiative, we all know that power belongs to God. Therefore, it is not out of place to reference God in this critical time when APGA delegates are saddled with the herculean task of choosing the right person to fly the party’s flag. We will actively participate in this all important spiritual warfare, and enjoin Ndi Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency irrespective of political lining to pray for a  divine intervention in the forthcoming primary election. We pray for a peaceful, credible, fair and transparent election”. Dr. Chuma-Odili said
