Incumbent senator representing Lagos west at the upper legislative chamber, Senator Solomon Adeola on Saturday, won the All Progressives Congress, APC ticket for the Ogun West senatorial district.
Yayi as Adeola is called, beat the sitting senator, Chief Tolu Odebiyi who had only done one term in the district.
Yayi polled 294 votes out of the 295 accredited delegates votes at the primary election held at Oronna Hall in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government, Ogun State.
Earlier on, two other contestants Gboyega Isiaka(GNI) and Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade had opted to vie for the House of Representatives seats.
