Legendary highlife musician and saxophonist, Pa Orlando Julius Ekemode, has been buried in his hometown, Ijebu Ijesha, Osun State.


The Copyright Society of Nigeria, COSON, had a heavy presence at the burial. The COSON entourage, was led by its Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji and included a Director of the society, Richard Cole, flutist, Teemac Isele and singer, Yinka Davis.

Julius, a bandleader and songwriter who is closely associated with Afrobeat music, released several musical albums including, ‘Disco Hi-Life’, ‘Ololufe’, ‘Love, Peace and Happiness’, and more.
The ‘A dara, a dara’ singer, died at the age of 79.
