AMAECHI, OSINBAJO BATTLE FOR APC PRESIDENTIAL TICKET AS AMOSUN, FAYEMI, AKPABIO, 4 OTHERS STEP DOWN FOR TINUBU

Voting is now underway at the Special convention of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as fourteen(14) Presidential aspirants battle for the ticket of the party, for the 2023 presidential election.

Already, seven aspirants had earlier stepped down for former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

They include Dr. Kayode Fayemi, governor of Ekiti State and his Jigawa State counterpart, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and ex-Minister of Niger Delta, Godswill Akpabio, former Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, former Speaker of the House of Representatives. Hon. Dimeji Bankole, Sen. Ajayi Boroffice and the only female aspirant, Mrs. Uju Ohanenye.

Those on the ballot for the 2322 delegate votes on offer include, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Gov. Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Gov. Ben Ayade of Cross River State, Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.

Others include Hon. Emeka Nwajiuba, former Imo State Governor, Sen. Rochas Okorocha, former minister of Transportation, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, Sen. Bola Tinubu and Senate president, Dr. Ahmed Lawan among others
