Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, this afternoon, won the presidential primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC, with a whopping 57 percent of the delegate votes.
With his victory, Tinubu has set up an epic battle between him and his friend, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the 2023 presidential election.
While Tinubu amassed a total of 1271 votes(57%), his closest rival, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi came secondwith 316 votes(14%) as Prof. Yemi Osinbajo scored 235 votes(10.6%) to come third.
Ahmad Lawan came fourth with 152 votes(6.8%), leaving Yahaya Bello with 47 votes(2.1%) to take fifth position.
Umahi scored 38 votes(1.7%) in 6th position while Ben Ayade polled 37(1.6%).
Pastor Tunde Bakare, senior pastor of Latter Rain Assembly and former Imo State governor Sen. Rochas Okorocha scored zero vote each.
