Anambra State, Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo has approved the appointment of veteran broadcaster, Mr. Chido Obidiegwu as Managing Director, Anambra State Broadcasting Service, ABS.
In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu, the governor also appointed ten other Special Advisers and head of agencies.
The new appointees include, Special Adviser, Legislative/State Assembly Matters – Rt. Hon Anayo Nebe, Special Adviser, Political Matters –Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, Special Adviser, Medicals and Pharmaceuticals – Dr. Godwin Nnadozie, Chairman of Governing Board, ASWAMA –Dr. Emma Ezenwaji and the MD/CEO, Anambra State Waste Management Authority (ASWAMA) –Mr. Mike Ozoemena.
Others are, MD/CEO, Anambra State Health Insurance Agency – Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi, MD/CEO, Anambra State Signage and Advertising Agency –Mr. Tony Ujubuonu, Special Adviser, Local Government Affairs, Barr. Raphael Asha Nnabuife, MD, Anambra State Erosion, Watershed and Climate Change Agency (ANSEWCCA)-Prof. Phil O. Phil-Eze and DG, Project Monitoring Office –Mr. Obumneme Akunyili.
Obidiegwu, a University of Nigeria, Nsukka graduate, was Managing Director, Anambra State Clear Drainage Forest Preservation Agency in the governor Willie Obiano administration.
