Activities marking the 60th birthday of former Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC boss, Chief Ndutimi Alaibe, came to an end on Sunday, with a thanksgiving service, which attracted the presence of former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, and Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, among others.




Alaibe’s 60th birthday celebration, had commenced penultimate Saturday when youths from his Okpokuma Bayelsa State community hosted a novelty football match to herald his arrival in the community.


The thrilling encounter was between All-Stars of Opokuma versus Sampou All-Stars.


The next day, featured a thanksgiving service at his local church assembly and a gathering of friends, associates and of course hundreds of children at the Alaibes residence for reception.
The event saw Alaibe fraternizing with over 300 children, the elderly, the widows and orphans as everyone had enough to eat, drink and take home.
Alaibe, a businessman and politician, was born on June 10, 1962.
