Nigeria on Friday, beat France 1-0, in their opening group game at the U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.
Flourish Sabastine scored in the 85th minute to move Nigeria top of the table in the opening game.
The game was initially suspended in the 20th minute due to heavy downpour. When the rain stopped, the Falconets and the French team brought all arsenal to the play, but it was Nigeria, who ran away with the 85th minute goal.
Nigeria will meet South Korea on Sunday in the next game.
