Presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 elections, is currently in Germany, on his way to the United States of America, Italy and Canada.
Mr. Peter Obi, it was gathered, will speak to Nigerians in Germany on Friday 26 August at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Frankfurt, Mailänder Straße, 60598 Frankfurt am Main.
Peter Obi confirmed his movement to Germany via his verified Twitter on Thursday. He tweeted: “En route to the U.S.A, I’ll make a pit stop in Germany to interact with Nigerians in Germany. I hold Nigerians in Diaspora in very high esteem. They represent the core of our human development capital and contribute immensely to nation building via remittances and technical knowledge transfer. My present outing will take me to Germany, Italy, Canada & the U.S.A. I look forward to the very constructive engagements.”
The former Anambra State Governor, will deliver a lecture on ‘The Role of Nigerians in Diaspora in Transformation of Nigeria’ at the event, christened ‘Nigerians in Germany Welcome Peter Obi’.
The event put together by Nigerian organisations and individuals in Germany, will also witness the inauguration of the Peter Obi Support Group in Germany at a private dinner with the presidential candidate.
