Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, SAN, has taken oath of office as the 31st President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
Maikyau emerged president following his victory at the national NBA election in July.
The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Eko Hotel & Suites, venue of the 2022 NBA conference.
At the event, Maikyau thanked God for helping him thus far. He also thanked his colleagues at YC Maikyau & Co., his campaign team, as well as friends and associates who supported his candidacy.
Maikyau succeeds Mr. Olumide Akpata who has piloted the affairs of NBA in the last two years.
