Nigeria’s home based Super Eagles on Sunday, lost 0-2 to the Black Galaxies of Ghana at Cape Coast Sports Stadium, in a CHAN 2023 qualifier.
Ghana’s Afrieye Barneh scored a penalty in the 50th minute and Seidu Suraj got a second goal in the 87th minute to beat the Super Eagles in the first leg of the competition.
The home based Super Eagles are expected to cancel the two goals in the return leg in Abuja on Saturday to enable Nigeria stand a chance to return to the competition after missing out on the last edition in Cameroon.
