Nigeria’s home based Super Eagles, will not be at the 2023 CHAN tournament as they lost 4-5 on penalties to Ghana home based counterparts, the Black Galaxies.
Nigeria on Saturday, beat the Black Galaxies 2-0 at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja but lost out in the penalty shootout.
The Ghanaians had beaten the Super Eagles 2-0 in the first leg of the final qualifying round in Cape Coast, Ghana a week ago.
With the result, Nigeria will not be at Algeria in 2023 after missing the 2021 tournament in Cameroon.
