ACCRA AGOG AS EZE NDIGBO GHANA, HRM IHENETU SETS TO CELEBRATE NEW YAM FESTIVAL/IGBO DAY SEPT. 18

All is now set for the 2022 Igbo Day and New Yam Festival for Igbos living in Ghana. The event which comes up on Sunday September 18, 2022, will also mark the coronation of  Eze Ndigbo Ghana, HRM Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Ihenetu(JP).

The invitation from HRM Ihenetu palace, said the event will showcase rich Igbo culture and cuisine to the whole world.

The landmark event, will also have HM Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, Omanhene of Sefwi Anhwiaso, traditional area and president National House of Chiefs, Ghana, HRM Nii Teiho Tsuru II GA Mantse, president GA traditional council, HRM Dr. Yahaya Abubakar, Etsu Nupe, chairman Coordinating committee, National Council of Traditional rulers of Nigeria, HRH Dr. Appolus Chu, Oneh-Ehnchia & Egbere Emere Okori, Eleme Kingdom, Rivers State Nigeria, HM Eze Dr. CYC Umeakuka(JP), Ezeigbo Akwa Ibom State, president general of Ezendigbo in Nigeria and Diaspora as well as HRH Eze Uche Dimgba, Ezeigbo Ikeja, Lagos State, BOT chairman, Ndieze udo na uzo ije title holders association, as royal fathers of the day.

This year’s New Yam Festival/Igbo Day Ghana, will hold at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park, opposite Kempinski Hotel, Accra, Ghana.

The palace informed that this year, being the 10th edition, has been planned to give guests an experience to relish for a long time to come.

The Ezeigbo Ghana palace informed that the event, will afford Ndigbo in Ghana opportunity to come together to celebrate the king of crops(Yam) and to thank God for fruitful farming season.
