Veteran journalist and publisher of online newspaper, BayelsaTimes, Mr. Sony Neme, was on Saturday, September 17, 2022, bestowed with a chieftaincy title by his people of Obetim-Uno, in Delta State.
The ex-Thisday newspaper staff, bagged the title of ‘Uka Dike’ of Obetim-Uno, Afor Ogbuji in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State.
Chief and Lolo Neme, were given their paraphernalia of office by the Ozojini Ogwe of Obetim-Uno, Afor, Ogbuji, Chief Pius Ossai, at the ceremony which held at Umugbum Quarters.
According to the citation, Chief Sony Neme was found worthy of the title for always upholding the culture and traditions of his people among other virtues.
