It was a memorable day on October 29th, 2022 when the Ati Annang Foundation Lagos Chapter held the 4th edition of her annual lecture series.



Speaking on the theme, “Annang Nation: Raising the Bar in Politics and Governance”, the Keynote speaker, Prof. Victor Daniel Bassey Inoka held everyone present physically and via online (as it was a hybrid session) spellbound, especially with the philosophy of Annang Agwo.



The Annang Agwo, is a philosophy that sets an Annang man and woman back to his/her consciousness of being a true Annang descendant; a brave man, a virtuous woman and a brother’s keeper political divide and interest irrespective.
The chairman of the occasion Barr. Aniekan Etiebet who came with his delectable wife Dr (Mrs) Ekaette Etiebet urged indigenes and groups to live above petty jealousies, petty frictions but with great sense of unity.
In his welcome address, the Lagos chapter chairman, Mr Felix Ekarika, FCA informed that Annang sons and daughters were contesting for different offices using diverse political platforms, and asked the gathering to find a way to keep the contest healthy so as not to affect the spirit of brotherhood and ensure the Annang people do not end up tearing ourselves apart.
The Ati Annang Foundation international president Mr. Uwemedimo Nwoko SAN called for a united Annang nation regardless of political party inclination and other sundry interests.
The discussion session was moderated by veteran broadcaster and swerve administrator Mr Aniekpeno Mkpanang whocoordinated with Mr. Unwana Nkeme from far away Kuwait and Barr. Mary Enang from London – UK.
The day climaxed with recognition awards to three individuals who have worked tirelessly to ensure the successful takeoff of the Ati Annang Foundation Lagos Chapter and the stabilisation of Annang Heritage Lecture Series.
The trio of Mr. Otu Solomon Udom, Dr. Arnold Udoka and Mr. Mfon Benson Nkantah were decorated with award plagues as HEROES of Annang Heritage Lecture Series.
Other prominent personalities who attended the event include, the Vice President Africa, Mr Otu Solomon Udom who is the immediate past chairman of Lagos State Chapter of the foundation as well the chairman who incepted the lecture series. Also with the international president were the International Secretary Barr. Akan Mary Udoh and the international provost Engr. Nsikak Affia.
