Widows and less privileged persons have something to cheer as the Mercy Ogunbunmi Foundation was launched on Sunday, 6th November, 2022.
The Foundation (Widows Outreach) which was officially launched in commemoration of Mrs. Ogunbunmi’s 40th birthday, hit the ground running when it offered free medical services, essential household materials and cash gifts to widows and others on the day.
The launch which was held at Austeno Multipurpose Hall, Obawole, Iju, Lagos State saw dozens of less privileged widows empowered at the event.
During the event also, free blood pressure and sugar level tests were conducted for the widows, and free treatments administered where necessary. Cash and other gifts were also handed to each of the widows.
According to the visioner, Mrs Mercy Ogunbunmi, “the Foundation was borne out of her passion to help the needy, widows and other vulnerable persons in the society.”
“This vision was borne out of compassion to help the needy who are less privileged, and most especially widows who are saddled with the sudden responsibility of taking care of their families,” Mrs Ogunbunmi said.
