Former Super Eagles player, Mr. Henry Nwosu, MON, has been moved from a hospital in Asaba to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH on the directive of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
According to a post on his Facebook page on Thursday morning, President of St. Finbarr’s College Old Boys Association, Mr. Patrick Doyle, said the Lagos State Governor acceded to the Association’s request to take over the cost of Henry Nwosu’s medical care.
Doyle said “Gov. Sanwo-Olu took over the treatment of Henry Nwosu on Monday 14th November just three hours after the Association appealed to him in the early hours of the same day.”
It will be recalled that the former Super Eagles ace has been battling ill-health at an Asaba, Delta State hospital since few months ago.

St. Finbarr’s College Old Boys Association is proud to have instigated and executed the transfer of our legendary old boy Henry Nwosu (MON) from a hospital in Asaba to LASUTH in Lagos. We are also eternally grateful to Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu the Lagos State Governor who acceded to our request to take over the cost of Henry’s care on Monday 14th November just 3 hours after the request was made in the early hours of the same day.
We are equally grateful to the forum of Distinguished Old Boys who collectively strategized and guided the actions that produced this outcome. They also provided the funds to evacuate Henry from Asaba to Lagos by air.
