LAGOS LAWMAKER ABDUL-SOBUR OLAWALE BURIED

The remains of the Lagos State House of Assembly member, Hon. Abdul-Sobur Olayiwola Olawale, who died in Jos, Plateau State on Tuesday, has been buried.

The body was interred according to Islamic rites, at the Ebony Vaults, Ikoyi Lagos.

His remains arrived the Murtala Mohammed Airport on Wednesday afternoon and was immediately conveyed to his residence in a motorcade that included the Speaker, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, lawmakers, the Lagos State Legislators Wives Association (LASLEWA), friends, family and associates of the deceased.

The body was later moved to the Ebony Vaults where Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, joined the crowd of mourners.

Until his death, late Hon. Olawale represented Mushin Constituency 2 and was chairman of the House Committee on Local Government and Community Relations.
