Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike on Thursday, carpeted the Senator representing Abia South in the National Assembly, Chief Enyinnaya Abaribe, saying the senator lacks credibility and integrity.
Although he refused to mention the four-term Senator’s name but rather chose to identify him as the “Senator from Obingwa”, Wike alleged that Abaribe “collected” money from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and in just three days, dumped the party to pick the ticket of another party.
Urging the people not to vote for Abaribe again, Wike narrated how the former Senate Minority Whip had complained to him(Wike) after he lost the PDP ticket to return to the Senate in 2023. He said Abaribe had requested for funds as compensation and when it was made available to him(Abaribe), he dumped the party.
Wike was speaking at the official kick-off of the PDP campaign in Umuahia on Thursday.
Wike was at the rally in company of other members of his “G-5” Governors.
