President Muhammadu Buhari, PDP Presidential candidate, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, popular pastor Apostle Johnson Suleman and colleagues of the late Sammie Uyoyo Okposo, have mourned the passage of the Gospel star just as his family has released a statement confirming his death.
Sammie Okposo, had slumped and died on Friday morning, leaving many in Nigeria and across the world severely shocked.
Buhari in a release issued on Friday by his Media Adviser, Femi Adesina, commiserated with the Christian community, Okposo’s colleagues and family.
Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku who expressed his shock, said “Sammie was full of life, distinguished himself in the entertainment industry, and, by extension, gave his best to bring smiles to our people”.
Late Thursday, the Family of late Popular gospel singer, Sammie Okposo had issued a statement on the death of the musician.
According to them, “Sammie slept and went to be with the Lord on the morning of Friday, November 25, 2022. More details about the burial will be communicated soon.”
