The Imo State representative in the 86kg category boxing at the ongoing National Sports Festival in Asaba, Delta State, Chukwuemeka Igboanugo, is dead.
He reportedly lost the fight via knock out to his opponent from Anambra State.
Those on ground said the boxer was said to have been given first aid treatment while unconscious before being taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
