NIGERIAN MUSIC LEGENDS DAZZLE AS OVATION CAROL RETURNS WITH MULTIPLE CELEBRATIONS

It was a night of razzmatazz, glamour and fanfare as top society trooped out in their numbers to herald the return of arguably the best yuletide event of the year, the Ovation Carol. 

Tagged “Evening of Legends” the event which held at Habour Point Event Centre, Lagos featured Ebenezer Obey, Onyeka Onwenu, Adewale Ayuba, Shina Peters and TuFace Idibia lived up to expectations.

The evening was a four-in-one celebration: the 30th wedding anniversary of the Chairman, Ovation Media Group, Aare Dele Momodu, and his wife, Yeye Aare Mobolaji Momodu; the 55th birthday of Mrs Momodu, 25th birthday of the couple’s third son, Eniafe and of course, Ovation carol 2022 and opened with special thanksgiving segment coordinated by Pastor Ituah Ighodalo’s Trinity House Church.

Beamed live on Hip TV and Ovation’s social media platforms, the event began with powerful prayers by Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi and renditions of Christmas songs by the Trinity House Choir, who were clad in generous golden apparel, giving the atmosphere an ambience of grace and rejoicing.

Speaking at the event, where he prayed for a reignited and sustained love affair between the couple, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo thanked the Almighty God for bringing them thus far, and asked that the oil of gladness, and the joy of abundance never depart from the Momodu home. 

While leading the couple into reaffirming their marital vows, Pastor Ituah prayed that God should bless the couple with many more years of joy and laughter. He then prayed specially for Yeye Aare Momodu and son, Eniafe. The couple later cut an anniversary cake officiated by Publisher/Chairman, Thisday/Arise News, Prince Nduka Obaigbena.

With the three anniversaries concluded, the event dove-tailed into Ovation Carol proper as Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st, took charge of affairs as anchor. Thereafter, it was fun all the way with Evang. Obey dishing out his evergreen tunes as the opening act.

In his remarks, the Chief host, Aare Momodu, expressed profound gratitude to everyone that turned out to celebrate him and his family, adding that Ovation Carol has come to stay.
