The people of Umunjiokwu Community of Egbema Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State on Friday, honoured the Senator representing Anambra South and candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial Election, Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, with their prestigious Leadership Excellence Award. The community presented the Award to Senator Ubah during the official opening of its new community hall.
Speaking at the event, the Obi of Umunjiokwu Chief Odigbongha Igbokwe commended Senator Ubah for his giant efforts towards ensuring exemplary representation of his people at the upper Chambers of the National Assembly. He also applauded the Senator for his ongoing Light Up and Secure Anambra South Project and described him as an Ambassador of Excellence.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Umunjiokwu Development Union (UDU) Sir Emeka Ofomata appreciated Senator Ubah for facilitating many developmental projects that have played vital roles in the promotion of wellbeing of ndị Anambra South.
“The prince of the Senate, we celebrate you for prioritising human capital development in your legislative activities, and we reassure you of our unwavering support as you go for consolidation as a returning Senator and possible principal officer”, Sir Emeka Ofomata said.
Presenting the Award to Senator Ubah on behalf of ndị Umunjiokwu, Hon Sir Jude Mbaegbu (Lachas) described Senator Ubah as an outstanding legislator that deserves every form of encouragement. He further appreciated the Senator for facilitating quality projects and programmes in Anambra South and urged ndị Ozubulu and Ekwusigo to consolidate their support for him by voting massively for YPP at next Senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly elections.
Responding, Senator Ubah expressed his heart-felt appreciation to ndị Ekwusigo for their continuous support and for the honour bestowed on him by Umunjiokwu Community He reassured them that he would always reciprocate their support with quality representation and project delivery.
Senator Ubah who also made a cash donation of Two million Naira to support the day’s event, urged ndị Ozubulu and the entire Ekwusigo community to vote massively for YPP in 2023 Senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly Elections in order to consolidate on the existing gains.
Also present at the event were YPP candidate for 2023 Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Uzokwe as well as the party’s candidate for Ekwusigo State Constituency, Lady Juliet Anaeme.
The Senator attended the event along with some members of his Consolidation campaign team, Afa Igbo Efuna stakeholders and friends that include Chief Dan Edokwe, Chief Vin Onyeka, Chief Charles Obi, Chief Izuchukwu Nnadi, Chief Okwudili Chukwuma (JP) and the YPP candidate for 2023 Nnewi North State Constituency, Sir Augustine Ikedoji.
The event also featured the presentation of the Golden Son Award to Hon. Peter Uzokwe by ndị Umunjiokwu Community
