Multiple award winning Filmmaker, Anchor/Producer of ‘Nigeria Right Now’ on television, Mr. Dickson Iroegbu, is set to launch his new book, “Who Owns Nigeria?“
The book presentation which has former President Goodluck Jonathan as Special Guest of honour, is billed to hold at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja on February, 4, 2023.
The book which is co-authored by Dr. Uzor Ngoladi, talks about the Nigerian dream, especially how it was conceived and nurtured to bridge the disconnect between leadership and the scarcity of good governance. It is a voice for the people through developmental media content.
Iroegbu said the story angles in the book are so real that the reader can feel the burning fire of patriotism running in the veins of Nigerian citizens.
In the book’s preface, Iroegbu wrote: “Who Owns Nigeria? is a question that drives through the theme of the book. The narrative style derives from the perspectives of my conversations on television. Having anchored and produced the Nigeria Right Now (NRN) show for seven years, the award winning filmmaker in me deemed it imperative, especially at this historic ballot revolution era in Nigeria, to take a stand and be counted. I have had privileged opportunities to meet and interview great and patriotic Nigerians, from across the North and South of this great country. In this book, the authors are deliberate and if you like, prophetic, capturing trajectories of our motherland. This is about the determination of a filmmaker who is focused on creating a new Nigeria through motion picture”.
Who Owns Nigeria?, also features a Foreword written by the governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu.
