Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu has been re-elected as the governor of Lagos State for a second term.
Sanwo-Olu, who is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, won in 19 out of the 20 Local Government areas of Lagos State.
Sanwo-Olu polled 762,134 votes to beat his closest rival, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party, LP, who scored 312,329 votes in the election.
Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran(Jandor) of People’s Democratic Party, PDP came a very distant third as he scored 62,449 votes.
Sanwo-Olu was first elected governor of Lagos State in 2019.
