“I WILL STICK TO GOV. IKPEAZU THROUGH THICK AND THIN’—SAM HART REPLIES CRITICS

Director General of the Abia State Marketing and Quality Management Agency, Barrister Sam Hart, has blasted critics who claim that he had jumped ship from the Okezie Ikpeazu government and was hunting for a position in the incoming Dr. Alex Otti administration.

Apparently miffed by the insinuations and claims that he has not been talking about the Ikpeazu administration as before, especially in the loss of the governorship by the PDP, Hart in a post on his social media handle on Sunday said, “I do not need to engage in performative public posturing to show that I am loyal to Ikpeazu. He does not expect me to. He is a highly intelligent man who knows the mettle and composition of those around him. Those who will betray him, he knows. Those who will stick by him through thick and thin, he knows. No amount of public performances will sway inherent antecedents”.

Sam Hart also stated, “I work for Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu. I still work for him. I will work for him officially until May 29, 2023 and even after he hands over, I will be available whenever he needs my services. That is my commitment to my principal.

“For the record, I have no desire to work for the next administration in Abia State. I have made no such overtures and do not intend to. Abia is my State and I will always have something to offer my State.”

Sam Hart, a former Chief Press Secretary and co-founder of the Aba Fashion Week, is one of the most respected voices in the Okezie Ikpeazu administration.

“FOR THE RECORDS…

I have had the privilege of serving the administration of Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu for the last eight years. I have held appointments and discharged functions to the best of my ability. I am still very much serving the administration of Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu and he remains my boss with whom I am in constant communication even as I write this.

I do not need to engage in performative public posturing to show that I am loyal to him. He does not expect me to. He is a highly intelligent man who knows the mettle and composition of those around him. Those who will betray him, he knows. Those who will stick by him through thick and thin, he knows. No amount of public performances will sway inherent antecedents. Some of his most obsequious praise-singers of yore are today, his most virulent critics.

I have a track record. I execute any role I am assigned to diligently to the satisfaction of my principal to whom I owe allegiance. I have never castigated any principal I worked with. I am not in the bad books of any of my bosses in my 23 years of active work-life. They still remain my bosses and I still enjoy access to them. It is not a coincidence. It is not a fluke. It is who I am.

I work for Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu. I still work for him. I will work for him officially until May 29, 2023 and even after he hands over, I will be available whenever he needs my services. That is my commitment to my principal.

Those who wish to air their bottled up opinions about me are welcome. It is their opinion. Their opinion does not define me. To myself I am true. That is all that matters.

Long before the political season, I sought and obtained the Governor’s permission to enhance my capacity for future endeavors. A father, mentor and boss, he gave his full blessings for me to proceed on course. A Strategic Leader must always prepare for the future. I was preparing for the evening while it was still morning.

For the record, I have no desire to work for the next administration in Abia State. I have made no such overtures and do not intend to. Abia is my State and I will always have something to offer my State. But at this epoch, understanding the times and seasons, my assignment is elsewhere. This was my decision whatever the outcome of the 2023 elections. We must set forth at dawn. I set forth at dawn.

I understand the frustrations of those mentioning my name and venting directly and via innuendos. Excellence places you in front. Being in front means you are visible. Being visible means you are a lightening rod for those looking for who to blame. I understand. I will not soak accolades and disdain criticism. All is well.

In conclusion, I discharged all my functions with the highest sense of professionalism, excellence and diligence. The records of my services to my State are available.

I thank my Principal and my boss for the opportunity to serve my State. I thank him for his love and trust. I thank him for supporting unconditionally, my growth and development.

I stand by Dr. Okezie Victor Chibuikem Ikpeazu . He knows. That is all that matters. Everything else is noise. Pure noise.

Udo diri unu.

Ugwu Ngwu.”
