St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State, has reopened on Easter Sunday; ten months after it was shut down over a deadly attack.

Gunmen had attacked the church in June 2022 killing over 40 worshippers.
During the reopening service on Easter Sunday, the Bishop of Ondo diocese, Bishop Jude Arogundade, called on the federal government to take protection lives and property seriously.
The congregants, who witnessed the attack, while thanking God for their lives, called on the government to tackle insecurity in the country.
