Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets on Sunday, beat their Zambian opponents 1-0 at the 2023 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations at the Stade Mohamed Hamlaoui, Constantine, Algeria.
Favour Daniel scored the decisive goal in the 14th minute as the Coach Nduka Ugbade-led Golden Eaglets started the tournament on a strong footing.
The Golden Eaglets are playing in Group B which has Zambia, Morocco and South Africa.
The Eaglets will face Morocco in their next group game at the same Stade Mohamed Hamlaoui on Wednesday.
