Nigeria qualified for the quarter finals of the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations in Algeria on Saturday when it beat South Africa’s Amajimbo, 3-2 in their last group game in Constantine.
The Golden Eaglets had beaten Zambia 1-0 in their opening Group B match but lost to Morocco 0-1 in their second game last Wednesday.
Zambia rallied hard in their last group game to beat Morocco, 2-1. However, Morocco finished on top of the table ahead of Nigeria with six points but superior goal difference. Both South Africa and Zambia had three points each.
