Happily married with his wife and only daughter, life was going on good until his mother came in with the demand for a son.
The battle to keep his mother at bay as well as make her realize how important children are irrespective of the gender, formed the theme of the movie. At the end, the daughter in-law and her grandchild had to contend with the wrath of the mother.
The movie was Directed by Emmanuel Ekaemen and Produced by Kingsley Okereke.
‘Mr Baby Daddy’ makes a strong case for gender equality, a fundamental human right, and necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world.
There appears to be some progress in that direction over the last decade, but the world is not on track to achieve gender equality by 2030. Commitment and bold action are needed to accelerate progress, including through the promotion of laws, policies, budgets and institutions that advance gender equality. Greater investment in gender statistics is vital, since less than half of the data required to monitor the goal are currently available.
The movie parades stars such as Kachi Nnochiri, Chioma-Obi Yomi, Geraldine Ejiogu and Amarachi Anyanwu among others.
Glyniss Hall had this to say about the movie: “One word describes this movie; POWERFUL! The message was delivered loud and clear that Children are a gift from God irrespective of the gender. Wonderful movie, excellent acting by the cast. Kudos to the producers for beaming the light on this topic that is often pushed under the rug so to speak.”

Valerie Hurt also had nice words for ‘Mr Baby Daddy’: “There is no way that I will deal with a mother inlaw like this. I swear, I will fight this old wicked bag with no shame and if I do have a son, she as the grandmother will not be allowed next to my so. There will be no relationship between her and the grandson she wanted so badly and I mean this on the air I breathe!”
