Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has been sworn in as the 16th President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola administered the oath on the new President at exactly 10.38 am on Monday. Earlier, the CJN had sworn in Alhaji Kashim Stettima, GCON as Vice President.
Tinubu, a former Senator and former Governor of Lagos State, was declared winner of the February 25, 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Over 20 heads of state and prominent world leaders witnessed the colourful ceremony held at the Eagles Square, Abuja.
