Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Dr. Ahmed Datti, was among the prominent personalities in Umuahia on Monday when Dr. Alex Chioma Otti was sworn-in as the fourth executive governor of Abia State.
The event also witnessed the presence of former Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, former Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi, National Chairman of Labour Party, Julius Abure and former Governor of Abia State, Senator Theodore Orji, among others.
The oath of office was administered on the new Governor and his Deputy, Ikechuckwu Emetu by the Chief Judge of Abia State, Justice Lillian Abai at the Umuahia township stadium.
Otti, the only Labour Party governor in the country, took over from Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
