Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Sunday, grabbed the 2023 AFCON ticket when they defeated their Sierra Leonian opponents 3-2. The Eagles achieved the feat at the qualifier played at the Samuel Doe Stadium in Monrovia. Napoli’s striker Victor Osihmen scored a first half brace in the game before the Sierra Leonians replied in a thrilling encounter. But it was Kelechi Ihenacho who dashed the hopes of the hosts with a dying minute goal to hand the Eagles a 3-2 victory.
