Topgun men clothier Charles Kay Anyabuike is warming up for the grand opening of his new showroom come July 16, 2023.
The new showroom is situated at suite 306 Ochuwa Plaza Addo/Badore roundabout Lekki, Lagos.
Expected at the grand opening are the creme of Nigerian entertainment industry and big society men and women.
Also expected in a special star appearance is the Fin-Nigerian afro zanga queen Memmuchi whose music Pokoe is spreading all over the space.
Charles Kay studied communications arts at university of ife (OAU) but taught himself to sew during his days in NYSC at Kano.
In the mid 90s, he set up a showroom in Aguda, Surulere, Lagos from where he delivered special clothes to top stars of that ara.
His patrons included late afro beat great Sonny Okosun, original ‘bad boy’ Daniel Wilson, celebrated south African golden voice Yvonne chaka chaka and a host of others.
In years to come CK as he is fondly called was to create the Afro streets and Afro lux designs which he said were “free to wear in the sun”.
His patrons are scattered all over the globe with shops in Dubai and London and elsewhere.
This is not the first time CK would move his showroom.
He moved twice at Aguda Surulere, Lagos. Now he has moved again in Lekki Lagos.
According to him many factors are responsible for the relocation of the showroom…the basic is the need to improve.

He did not forgot his chosen profession which is theatre…acting films and getting involved in entertainment.
The imo state born artiste joined Nollywood featuring in True Confession along super stars as Liz Benson.
He later ventured into production and churned out reels including Ocean of love, Kill the minster, Desperate and dangerous and Human cargo in which he made use of a Boeing 727 parked at the MMA.
He also later featured in Obi Emelonye’s first film Who’s Next.
He later produced “the incarnate” in which he cast me as a barrister and I played along Ngozi Ezeonu and Eddie Ugboma.
Currently he is the head of promoting the music of Memmuchi.
