1ST AFRICAN INDIGENOUS LANGUAGE FILM FESTIVAL TAKES OFF IN GRAND STYLE

The maiden edition of the African Indigenous Language Film Festival (AILFF), took off in a flying start on Tuesday July 4, 2023 at the Nigerian Film Corporation Lagos Office in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Themed “African Indigenous Language Films: Prospects & Imperatives,” the opening day witnessed a massive turnout of filmmakers who congregated to further the goals of the film industry.

The four-day event will witness screening of films, panel and round table discussions as well as industry sessions.

Founder and Executive Director of AILFF, Osezua Stephen Imobhio, says AILFF aims at promoting, projecting and preserving African Indigenous language films, arts, culture and tourism.

The festival will round off with an award ceremony on July 7 where individuals and institutions will be recognised.
