NIGERIA NATIONAL TRIALS: AMUSAN WINS 3RD CONSECUTIVE WOMEN’S 100 METERS HURDLE

World champion, Tobi Amusan on Wednesday, won her third consecutive national title in the women’s 100 metres hurdles event.

Amusan ran 12.70 seconds to win the final event at the ongoing Athletic Federation of Nigeria (AFN) Nigeria National Trials in Benin city, Edo State.

This is Amusan’s third consecutive win having swept to victory at the Olympic trials in Lagos in 2021 and in Benin 2022.

Last Sunday, she claimed her first Diamond League win of the season with a stunning finish in 12.52 seconds at the Olympic Stadium in Stockholm, Sweden.

The AFN trials is preparatory to defending her world record at the 2023 World Championships to be held in Budapest, Hungary.
