Prominent Nigerians gathered in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State on Saturday as the earthly remains of Otunba Subomi Balogun, founder of First City Monument Bank, FCMB, was buried.
The funeral service was held at the Cathedral Church of Our Saviour in Ijebu Ode and was followed by a private family interment.
Those at the ceremony include Vice President, Kashim Shettima; former head of state Gen. Yakubu Gowon rtd., Ogun State governor, Chief Dapo Abiodun and his Lagos State counterpart, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Also at the ceremony were, Sen. Gbenga Daniel, Sen. Seriake Dickson, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chief Femi Otedola and President, African Development Bank, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, among several others.
The late Olori Omo Oba of Ijebuland, died in London on May 18 at the age of 89.
