Nigeria’s D’Tigress on Wednesday overcame Mozambique in the 2023 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket Quarter-Finals.
D’Tigresses’ won the hotly contested encounter 59-52 to set up a Semi-Finals duel with hosts, Rwanda.
Mozambique led at the break, but Nigeria eventually turned the tables around, outscoring Mozambique 18-10 in the third quarter to claim the win.
Nearly every Nigerian ended the game with at least two points to their credit. Amy Okonkwo chipped in 17 points, Elizabeth Balogun contributed 12 points, and Sarah Ogoke finished just one point shy from a double digit.
Rwanda overpowered Uganda 66-61 to set up the Semi-Finals pairing with Nigeria.
The second Semi-Finals game will be between Mali and Senegal.
