Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor, Prince Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye has emerged the Soun-elect of Ogbomosoland.

Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Olusegun Olayiwola, said in a statement on Saturday that Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has approved the appointment after a long-drawn processes specified under the law.
He said “His Excellency congratulates the new Soun-elect on his ascension to the throne of his forebears.”
The Commissioner said the exalted position has placed the monarch-elect in the position to facilitate harmony, understanding and tolerance amongst his people.
The Commissioner also urged all sons and daughters of the ancient city of Ogbomoso to work with the monarch to consolidate the successes of his forefathers.
Prince Olaoye, will succeed His Imperial Majesty, Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III, who joined his ancestors on December 12th, 2021 at 111years.
Oba Oyewunmi ascended the throne on October 24, 1973 and ruled the ancient town for 48years.
A graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University (formerly known as University of Ife), the Soun-elect has a BA Honors in English and Literary Studies as well as holds a Masters degree (MILR) in Industrial and Labor Relations with emphasis on Human Resource Management from the University of Ibadan.
Prince Ghandi, 62, is the CEO of Peculiar People Management (PPM) and GihonRiv Limited, which are Management and Human Resource Consulting Companies based in Lagos, Nigeria and Dallas, USA.
