The Super Falcons of Nigeria, will earn three points without kicking the ball as their opponents for next week’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Sao Tome and Principe women’s national team have reportedly withdrawn from the match.
The Super Falcons were scheduled to face Sao Tome and Principe in a 2024 WAFCON qualifier on September 22 with the return leg on September 26.
According to reports, the Sao Tome and Principe Football Federation has written to CAF, notifying them of their decision to withdraw from the qualifiers.
The Super Falcons will now play the winner of the first qualification round match between Liberia and Cape Verde between November 27 and December 5, 2023.
