With the primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, few months away towards the Edo State governorship election, endorsements have continued to mount for Earl Osaro Onaiwu.
The latest is coming from one of the big wigs of Igueben Local government chapter of the party, Mr. Elvis Otabor. A stalwart of Ekehen ward, Mr Otabor made public his support for Onaiwu’s aspiration on Tuesday.
According to him, “Most of the aspirants. in the PDP are not known to the members in Igueben. From our side here, we need someone who can deliver the goods to the good people of Igueben and Edo State. Ethnicity should be ignored and focus must be placed on the capacity of the individual.”
“Onaiwu has the capacity and beyond that, he has always supported the party better than those we have elected into public offices like some Senators, House of Reps members, etc,” he said.
Onaiwu who is the founding Director General of the PDP Governors Forum, is a popular leader of the party both at the national and state levels.
It will be recalled that in the last few weeks, over six groups and several individuals have endorsed the businessman turned politician for the PDP ticket even though he is yet to make his aspiration official.
