Few days after nine-time Nigerian Professional Football League winners, Enyimba F.C. declared its defender, Chibuike Nwaiwu “wanted”, the player has been seen training in far away Israel for another club.
Enyimba FC through its media manager, Mr David Orji, had released an official statement that declared the player wanted, after he was charged to have absconded from team duties.
According to Enyimba, “Nwaiwu is a genuine member of the team because he is still under a legally binding contract and has not been released or involved in negotiations to join another club.”
Although Nwaiwu was captured in a photograph in training, no one knows the Club he has pitched his tent with in Israel.
Chibuike Nwaiwu joined Enyimba in 2022 from Heartland FC of Owerri. Since he joined, the 20-year-old defensive midfielder has been a regular with the Aba club.
