All roads led to Ekroghen Ekakpamre in Ugheli North LGA, Delta State, on Friday, December 8, 2023 as Entertainment entrepreneur, Filmmaker and creator of the internationally acclaimed “Night of A Thousand Laughs” comedy show, Dr. Opa Williams, buried the remains of his beloved wife, Rev. Mrs. Patricia Ojiyovwi Opa-Willams.
Rev. Mrs Opa Williams was buried after a church service at the FourSquare Gospel church, Foursquare lane, behind Oaks hotel, Ughelli/Patani road, Ughelli.
On hand to support Opa, were top government officials and politicians including Delta State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme. Also on ground, were Nollywood filmmakers and top celebs including, actor/producer Chief Emeka Ossai, ace comedian Julius “the genius” Agwu, filmmakers Mellamby Ileogben, Kingsley Omoefe as well as DGN Secretary, Perekeme Odon, among others.
Earlier, on Thursday November 30, 2023, several filmmakers and Nollywood practitioners had paid their last respect to the late Rev. Mrs Opa Williams at a service of songs held in her honour at the FourSquare Gospel Church, 2 Tafawa Balewa crescent, off Adeniran Ogunsanya street, Surulere, Lagos.
Rev. Mrs. Patricia Ojiyovwi Opa-Willams (Nee Oghenede), passed onto glory in Lagos on Monday, September 18, 2023.
