Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara on Wednesday, presented his 2024 Budget to the group of five members of the Rivers State House of Assembly inside Government House, Port Harcourt.
The N800 billion bill christened, “Budget of Renewed Hope, Consolidation and Continuity,” projects N412bn for capital expenditure, while recurrent expenditure has N361bn and N21b as reserve.
The budget presentation came a few minutes after the demolition of the House of Assembly complex started.
Recall that on Monday, 27 members of the House loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
