Nigerian music stars, Davido, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Asake, and Olamide on Sunday, failed to win any category at the 66th Grammy Awards, held at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, United States of America.
South Africa’s Tyla, beat them all in the maiden ‘Best African Music Performance’ category.
It will be recalled that Burna Boy, bagged four nominations, with Davido, who earned three nominations in his debut.
Asake, Arya Starr, and Olamide got one nomination apiece.
While the Nigerian stars were all nominated in the maiden Best African Music Performance category, Davido and Burna Boy were also nominated for the Best Global Music Album and Best Global Music Performance categories. Burna Boy was again nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance.
