The remains of the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun Alli Okunmade II, was on Friday, laid to rest in Ibadan.
The monarch was buried at Ali-Iwo compound, his ancestral home, according to Islamic injunctions.
His body was lowered into the grave around 4.30pm.
The burial was attended by the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, who represented the state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde.
Members of the Olubadan-in-Council were led by the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Rashidi Ladoja.
Earlier, there was a lying-in-state at Mapo Hall from 12 noon to 1pm before the remains of the monarch was moved to Ali-Iwo for burial after prayers.
