The Black Princesses of Ghana on Thursday, beat Nigeria’s Falconets to win the Gold medal at the 13th African Games holding in Accra Ghana.
The game dragged into extra time, but it was the Black Princess that emerged champions after 120 minutes of football beating the Falconets 2-1.
Loveth Edeh had put the Falconets in the lead in the 21st minute.
With 12 minutes left on the clock, Ghana got a leveler through Tracy Twum.
Mukarama Abdullai, in the 99th minute of extra-time, popped up to score the winner as her low shot on the edge of the box beat the Falconets keeper.
In the Bronze medal(3rd place), match, Uganda beat Senegal 6-5 in a penalty shootout at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
The 13th African Games which kicked off March 8, will come to a close March 23. The games was held across three cities of Accra, Kumasi and Cape Coast.
