The family of Mr. Gideon Nwaomu, the late boss of Giddy’s Place Asaba, Delta State, have released His burial plans.
Gideon Nwaomu died suddenly at 69 on August 3, 2024 few months after he underwent a kidney transplant.
According to a funeral poster sighted by thebladengr.com, the funeral rights will commence with a Service of Songs at the St. Phillips Anglican Church, AGGS compound, Nebisi Road, Asaba on September 3rd, 2024.
On September 6th, his remains will be laid to rest at his homestead after a funeral service at St. Silas Anglican Church, Ubulu Okiti. Reception will follow at Ubulu Okiti Primary School.
The late Nwaomu was the Road manager for popular female musician Onyeka Onwenu who died just a few days before him.
He was also Artiste Manager to the late Chris Hannen of Ozigizaga fame as well as Junior and Pretty of Fufu Flavour fame in the late 1990s.
It is on record that it was under his watch as a manager that Hanen won the Best New Artiste Award of the Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN) in 1990.
He established the popular relaxation spot known as Giddy’s Place in 1994.
