The people of Alimosho Local Government Area have shown their overwhelming appetite to have Ambassador Abdul-Akeem Ayodeji Amodu as the next Local Government Chairman of Alimosho. A true Indigene of Lagos, Ambassador Amodu has amassed a wealth of experience in public service; a fact that has caught the interest of residents. They believe he has what it takes to turn the community around for the better.
Ambassador Amodu is a man very dedicated and highly experienced in civil service. He is currently the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Housing. His dedication to good governance, policy and high competent projects has rendered him great change in Lagos State. Amodu’s mode of operations in utilization of his expertise in project management and human resources, urban planning and development. His influence within the community having been further enhanced by a perceived purity within the political process, has endeared him to many within the Alimosho constituency.

Since his appointment into the Lagos State Local Government Civil Service Commission in 2004, Ambassador Amodu remained committed to improving the quality of administrative systems and the performance of the public service. Some of the achievements include; Lagos Island Municipal Transport project working with Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) and Increase of local government revenue by 300% as an Area Coordinator for Revenue Generation in Ibeju Lekki. His contributions are in line with community oriented programmes and development of infrastructure – values Alimosho people expect to find in their local government.
Alimosho people also appreciate the level of support that Ambassador Amodu has for their ideals. A Peace Ambassador certified by the Universal Peace Federation and a humanitarian with considerable leadership and passion, he has the right touch to appeal to Alimosho’s multicultural population.
As the interest of the public rises, local leaders, community associations as well as youth groups have started mobilizing support for Amodu’s candidature. They are citing his leadership experience and acquaintance with the Alimosho’s peculiarities.
